Student’s teachers and Administration must approve/sign the paperwork in order for Short Term ISP to be granted unless there is an emergency or extenuating circumstances.
Requests must be submitted at least 2 weeks in advance unless there is a documented emergency.
The following criteria will be used to determine if a student’s request will be approved:

1. Students should not be eligible for SART or SARB truancy meetings.
2. The student’s current grades will be taken into consideration.
3. The student and family commitment/access to material while the student is out. Students will need their Chromebook and internet access to complete the work assigned to them. Students and families must commit to completing the assigned work during the time they are absent.
-Students who do not complete the work per the Short Term ISP agreement will have their attendance re-coded as a “U” for Unexcused for each class that they did not complete the work.
-All “U”s will count towards the truancy process and could place a student on the No-Go List.
After student’s receive the paperwork, they should take it to each teacher for signature. Teachers are not required to sign/approve. Once teacher approval has been received, the Administration will review the paperwork and will make the final determination for approval.
It is important to note that:
- Students who are approved must turn in the work for the class during the time period they are out.
- Students will not receive any direct instruction while on Short Term ISP.
- Students who do not complete the work will receive a U for their attendance and they may be in danger of failing the class.
Forms are located with the Attendance Clerk. Parent/Guardians can come into the Main Office to pick up a form.
