River City High School

Offering 11 sequences of courses (called “pathways”) in 8 different industry sectors, pathway completers truly prepare for life after graduation. Each pathway provides students with industry-specific knowledge and skills critical for successful employment in a wide range of high-wage, high-skill, & high-demand careers. 

 

Our programs have been designed with regular input from advisory committees who keep our programs and equipment relevant with up-to-date industry expectations and standards. With the aid of these local industry partners, many of our programs offer work-based learning opportunities including mentoring, guest speakers, job shadowing & internships. 

 

River CTE courses all fulfill UC/CSU A-G college entrance requirements as well as high school graduation requirements. In addition, several classes offer opportunities to earn industry recognized certifications and/or dual enrollment with various local Community Colleges. 

 

Look forward to additional extended learning through participation in our Career Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs) such as FFA (Future Farmers of America), SkillsUSA, International Thespian Society & more. Earning leadership skills, providing community service and exploring the world of work through field trips & competitions, CTSOs are great resume builders while being a lot of fun.
