A LITTLE ABOUT ME...
Michelle Mejia-Hays will begin her 20th year of teaching at River City High School. Currently, she teaches English 10, and Honors English 10.
When Ms. Mejia-Hays isn't teaching, she spends her time with her husband and sons, Jacob and Jordan. Also during her free time, she loves working out.

GENERAL INFORMATION
English Honors 10 does NOT have an application for the 2019-2020 school year.
English Honors 10 DOES have a summer assignment. Please read below.
English Honors 10 Summer Assignment:
The summer assignment has two parts. Your assignment is due the semester you have English.
1. Read the novel Animal Farm by George Orwell. You can check this book out at the library or you can purchase your own copy. We will discuss this novel when you have your English class.
2. Learn the attached literary terms. You are responsible for knowing the word and the definition. You can study these terms any way that works for you (for example flashcards, writing definitions, study with a friend, etc). You will not turn in any of your study aids. You will have a 50 question multiple choice exam on the words/definitions the first week of your English class.
