WELCOME TO GUITAR!

Class Objective: This class is designed to introduce the fundamentals of guitar playing: reading of standard musical notation and playing basic chords. It is the expectation that students will complete book one by the end of the semester. Students will also learn about the history of the guitar and its role in the evolution of modern music, basic music theory, form analysis and basic song writing. Students will also experience singing while accompanying themselves on guitar. Additionally, students are required to perform at the guitar recital on January 13th.
