Welcome to Sci Hi
What is Sci Hi?
Sci Hi is an awesome group of dedicated students who love science and want to participate in a club for friends, fun, and competition. Our students raise money for field trips and supplies, hear from real-world scientists as guest speakers, get prestigious internships at university labs and hospitals, participate in science fairs and science bowls, and promote scientific awareness. Two of our major projects are Science Fair and Science Bowl.
Science Fair: We have at least 10 student groups entering independent research projects ranging from microbiology to psychology in this year's Sacramento Regional Science & Engineering Fair on March 9th, 2013. Science Fair Meetings are Wednesdays after school in Ms. Schroeder's room, G702. A big thank you to the Center for Biophotonics Science & Technology (especially Alisa Lee and Marco Molinaro) for giving us a start-up grant and investing their time and expertise to get our school involved in student research. We couldn't do this without your ongoing support!
Science Bowl: We will also be taking a team to compete in this year's Science Bowl on March 2nd, 2013. Practices are held weekly to prepare our students to dominate in a trivia bowl to test science knowledge against students from other schools.
The 1st Annual Science Fair Banquet was a huge success! :)
Congratulations to all the 2012 Science Fair Participants!
