Graduation for the class of 2017 will be held June 1, 2017.
Tickets will be distributed after the graduation practice on Tuesday, May 31 at 1:00 pm. Students must attend practice on May 31 to receive their tickets. Students who miss practice will forfeit their tickets unless arrangements are made ahead of time.
All Seniors must complete a check out form by Friday, May 26th before 12:00 PM. Failure to complete a form will result in not graduating! Forms may be picked up in the Counseling office starting May 22nd or printed offline.
Students who fail to meet the Senior contract requirements lose the right to walk at Graduation! Please see the Senior Contract for details!
GRADUATE DRESS CODE
- Women – dress or skirt (or dress pants) and blouse, and dress shoes.
- Men – dress slacks, dress shirts, tie and dress shoes.
- For all – The following items are NOT acceptable regardless of color, style, newness or cost: Jeans, tennis shoes, shorts, bathing suits, t-shirts. Any senior who has a question about appropriate dress should contact an administrator. Proper dress will be checked as students line up for the ceremony.
- All school rules with regard to “flashing” colors will be enforced.
AT THE FIELD
Raley Field will be providing tickets for graduation. All spectators will be issued tickets for general seating. Tickets will not have specific seat or section numbers on them. The Raley Field gates will open at 5:30 pm and spectators will be allowed to enter the stadium through the front gate and find their seats at that time. Concessions will be open at that time. Handicapped seating is available at Raley Field. Raley Field will provide ushers and security to help you find seats and answer questions. Parents and spectators at graduation will not be allowed on the field for any reason before, during, or after the ceremony. Pictures will be taken of the graduates by a professional photographer during the ceremony. Parents and guests may take pictures of their graduates outside Raley Field before the gates open. Parents/guests who attempt to access the field will be asked to return to their seats and may be asked to leave the ceremony entirely.
We wish the ceremony to be dignified and respectful. Toward this end, students may not decorate their robe or mortar. Inflatable items, balloons, and noise-makers are strictly prohibited at the stadium by both graduates and guests. Graduates may carry their cell phones during the ceremony in a pocket or small purse as graduates must be able to use both hands to shakes hands and accept their diplomas.
