Bryte CCT Campus Information

CTE Programs

Washington Unified School District career and technical education (CTE) programs prepare students by providing them with industry-specific knowledge and skills critical for successful employment in a wide range of high-wage, high-skill, and high-demand careers.

WUSD's Career Technical Education Department offers sequences of courses or pathways in 9 career areas. Refer to the pages on the right to learn more about WUSD's Career and Technical Education pathways. With the aid of local industry partners, many of our programs offer work-based learning opportunities including mentoring, guest speakers, job shadowing, and internships.

Each of our career and technical education pathways prepares students to enter employment directly following high school and/or prepares students to continue their educational and career goals in aligned programs at local colleges. In addition, our programs have been designed with regular input from advisory committee members who keep our programs relevant with up-to-date industry expectations and standards.

Combined with other academic offerings, students enrolled in Career Technical Education are able to meet UC/CSU A-G college entrance requirements as well as high school graduation requirements and career goals.
Please see the Course Catalog for Descriptions of our CTE Programs.

Classes at Bryte Campus

Dear Students and Families,

On behalf of River City High School (RCHS) and Bryte Career and College Training (Bryte CCT) staff, I want to extend a warm welcome for the fall term beginning August 17th.  Bryte CCT is a satellite campus for RCHS and is home to our Construction, Culinary Arts, and Farm-to-Fork/Ag Science career pathways.  We’re especially excited in 2016-17 to be launching WUSD’s first ever Agricultural Science and FFA (Future Farmers of America) Program at Bryte CCT.

As we are a satellite campus, I want to make sure you have the information you need to have a successful start on the Bryte CCT campus. Bryte CCT is located at 637 Todhunter Avenue in West Sacramento.

  • Students can plan daily to be at RCHS for two periods and at Bryte CCT for two periods. Bussing is available between the two sites.
  • The programs are in high-demand and classes are at or near capacity.  It is a privilege to be a part of the Construction, Culinary Arts, or Farm-to-Fork/Ag Science career pathways.   Strict attendance and appropriate behavior are expected as outlined in the RCHS Student Handbook.   Reassignment is possible.

Again, welcome to the new term! Your teachers, the support staff, and I are eagerly awaiting your arrival.  If you have questions, you may direct them to me via email: rcollins@wusd.k12.ca.us.
