ANNOUNCEMENTS

  • Our Each 1 Reach 1 Huddles will be held during both early and late lunches tomorrow Friday.  Come out and support the change as Each One Reaches One!

  • Students, this is a reminder that River City High School is a closed campus at lunch. Students are not allowed to leave campus for lunch or move their vehicles. Failure to comply will result in school discipline and a call to your parents. If you have any questions, please come see an administrator

  • Do not forget to sign up for the first annual RC Talent Show! Signups end tomorrow Friday, March 6th. We will be in front of the cafeteria during lunch

  • This year River City will be hosting its 1st annual Color It Up! It will be a 3k run taking place, May 2nd behind the school.The Color It Up Run will consist of Colored-powder being thrown on participants as they run through the course. Sign-ups for memories and fun by getting a registration forms from the front office or during lunch in front of the cafeteria.Hurry, Early bird special is just $25 and ends March 13th

  • Need help asking a special someone to Prom? We’re here to help!We will provide our services, ideas and posters in order to make you proposal perfect for only $5!Services being now until April 10th!Come to H-Commons during your lunch to begin planning!

  • If students would like to be in ASB/leadership next year, please fill out an application and turn it into Ms. Johnson in H Commons by March 18th.  Applications can be found in the office, on the leadership page and in H Commons

  • Congratulations to Rufina Tolstova our River City High School 11th grade student who won the Rotary Speech Contest last night at the Collins Teen Center. She will represent River City High School in the next level of competitions. Please congratulate her for a job well done

    Academic Assembly is tomorrow Thursday, March 5th from 6:00- 7:30 pm in the gym. If you received an invitation in the mail please RSVP to leadership in the H-Commons.We will be honoring students who have achieved a 3.74 and above! As well as the Top Ten Teachers! All are welcomed to come

  • Seniors:  Josten’s will be on campus on March 11 during lunch to distribute announcements and other graduation products.  Caps and gowns will not be distributed on March 11, but if you have not yet ordered your cap and gown, you can pick up order information from Josten’s that day.  You can also order online at www.norcalgrad.com

  • Do not forget to sign up for the first annual RC Talent Show! Signup now thru March 6th, during your lunch!  We will be in front of the cafeteria!

  • Congratulations to the River City Mock Trial team, who competed in the local tournament last week and will represent River City as Yolo County Champions in the state tournament later this month. Last night the Raiders received their team award, and students Ana Chan, Darion Edwards, and Anthony Williams were awarded individual honors by the competition’s judges. Congratulations, and good luck in the State Finals!

  • Congratulations to the RC Big Band for winning 1st place in the novice division at the Woodcreek Jazz Festival. High School & Middle school bands from all over the greater Sacramento area were competing.The RC Big Band received a unanimous superior rating from the judges with a score of 91 out of 100.Next year the band will be moving to the intermediate division.

  • In the first two boys' tennis matches of the 2015 season, RC defeated McClatchy 5 to 4 and Kennedy 8 to 1.  Good luck here today against American Canyon

  • Congratulations to the Girls Varsity Soccer team for being undefeated and winning the Cal Classic Tournament 1-0 in Woodland

  • Boy JV Baseball practice today @ 2pm

  • There have been a number of complaints about driving violations in the parking lot.If you violate the traffic laws you are subject to consequences from law enforcement.Be Safe!

  • Hey River City, listen up!  Do not forget to sign up for the first annual RC Talent Show! Signups have started now during your lunch!  We will be in front of the cafeteria! See you there!

  • Students the Cafeteria requires current 2014-2015 picture ID to get lunch.If you lost your ID go see the Bookkeeper at the Student Store before school or during lunch to purchase another ID for $5

  • Attention:  Students! Today during both lunches enjoy old school music as a culminating activity for Black History Month

  • Anyone interested in joining Link Crew should attend the informational meeting being held during both lunches on March 6th in the Career Center. Anyone who will be a soph/Junior or senior next year is encouraged to attend and get all the details for Link Crew.
