ANNOUNCEMENTS:

  • Support Breast Cancer awareness month by wearing PINK this Friday!!    
  • Are you interested in attending the Empower Yolo Friday during second period?  Permission forms are in the AP’s office.
  • Congratulations to the River City Regiment and the RC Big Band for their performance last Saturday.  The Marching band took 2nd place in their division and Kassidy Hammer won 3rd place out of all drum majors competing with Military style.  Wish them luck this Saturday as they compete again at the Del Oro Band Spectacular!
  • Raiders!  Come get your BOO-gram during both lunches for $2.  Sales end Friday, October 27th.
  • Seniors!  Pick up your Raider Cards in room 652, before, after school and during both lunches.  Your card sales sheet must be completed before getting your cards.
  • Seniors!  Sign up for your senior trip at Universal Studios, during your lunch in front of the cafeteria.
  • Sophomores!  Pre-Order your class shirts $15 for short sleeve and $17 for long sleeve.  Sold at the student store.
  • Interested Mock Trial? Our first Mock Trial meets tomorrow after school in room 851.  Contact Mr. O’Connor for details. 
  • Seniors!  Cash for College workshop tonight at 6pm in the F commons.  Come with your parents and get your FAFSA completed online.  This is free money that you do not have to pay back if you qualify!!
  • RCHS Productions & RC Choirs are presenting The Haunted House and Family Faire this Friday and Saturday from 7:00 – 8:30pm at the RC Black Box Theatre.  Creative crafts and games for everyone. Admission is $3 or 2 for $5. 
  • If you want to showcase your talent at the RC’s Got Talent show, you can audition in H-Commons starting today during both lunches until October 31st.
  • The Voice of Democracy essay contest is here!  Please see Ms. Grisaffi in the counseling office before or after school if you are interested in this opportunity.  If you win, you get cash!
  • Please see Mrs. Adams in the dance room if you would like to help at the dance show in November and you can receive service learning hours.
  • Kids Can is back!  Bring any canned food to your second period class starting today and help out your Yolo County food bank.  The top three 2nd period classes will receive donuts courtesy of the Link Crew.  The last day to bring cans is November 9th!  Last year we donated over 6200 items-Let’s beat it!

  • BSU meets today after school in room 660.
  • MSA will be hosting a Cultural Day today. 
  • West Sacramento FFA meets today after school in room 310. 
  • The Raider Reporters meets today after school in room 860.  Come and join us to get a tasty treat for all your hard work.
  • CREATE meets tomorrow after school in room 754.
  • Fight for Feminism club meets tomorrow early lunch in room 309 and late lunch in room 659.
  • Sci-Hi meets tomorrow in room 707.
  • Multicultural Club is hosting their second event tomorrow during lunch in the H commons.  The event will celebrate “Diali” a Hindu Festival of Lights.  Come experience and learn about this unique tradition.  Join us afterschool on tomorrow in room 804 to purchase and decorate a “Diya”, a traditional tea light candle, for the Diwali celebration on tomorrow!

 

SPORTS:

  • Wrestling conditioning today from 3:30 – 5:30 in F commons.
  • RC Girls Tennis – River Valley vs RC
