ANNOUNCEMENTS:

  • Students and Staff who are interested in being part of a group focused on improving the school experience for LGTBQ and Transgender Youth we are meeting in the library after school today.  Refreshments will be provided.  We need your voice to make RCHS a great place for all students!
  • If you will be a senior next year and want to take AP English literature, go to Mrs. Smith’s school loop page to fill out the Google Form and sign up to write the qualifying essay.  Deadline is Thursday, January 25th.  Questions?  Come see Mrs. Smith in room 351.
  • Juniors and seniors!  Want to visit your old K8 and buddy up with younger students?  RC is starting a buddy program!  Come by and visit Mrs. Spivey’s room 607 for more information!  You will get free pizza AND certificate of completion!
  • Are you interested in performing in the winter rally?  Come by the H commons this week during your lunch to audition.  This is the only week you’ll be able to audition so take advantage of it!
  • It’s not too early to get help with your classes, stay organized and stay on top of missing assignments.  Academic Outreach is Monday through Thursday from 3:30 to 4:45.  Snacks are provided and a late bus will take you home at 5:00.  AO teachers and their classrooms are listed on a flyer in each classroom.  See your teacher if you have questions. 
  • RC library is having a Diversity poster contest!  See Ms. B in the library for more information.  Reception on January, 29th where prizes are given and entries displayed.
  • Homecoming is around the corner nominate your friends at lunch.  All nominees must have 2.0 GPA and no D’s or F’s on their latest progress report.
  • Winter Homecoming is February 3rd.  Tickets are on sale in the student store $12.00 with ASB, $15.00 without and $20.00 at the door. 
  • Students that don’t have a 1st or 4th period see Deanna with your ID, so you can get a sticker.
  • Sign up for the teen clinic with the nurse.

 

CLUBS:

  • All academy students going on the CREATE field trip on February 5th need to turn in your field trip form ASAP to Mrs. Yusufi by Friday in room 754.
  • CREATE meeting today after school in room 754.
  • OSHA 10 Training this Saturday at SRBX-5370 Elvas Avenue, Sacramento, CA 95819.  Please be there at 8:45am if you are going directly to the site.  If you needed a ride and have arranged it with Mrs. Yusufi.  Please be in school at 8:15 sharp. 
  • Right for Feminism club meets today early lunch in room 309 and late lunch in room 659.

 

SPORTS:

  • RC girls’ soccer plays tonight at 6:30 against Woodland for 1st place in the league!!  Girls Varsity is 14-1.  Come out to support the girls’ soccer team on Thursday as the play Woodland. If you want to see an exciting game of soccer come out and support your Lady Raiders. Admission is free and the snack bar will be open.
  • Softball conditioning every day after school at 3:45 on the softball field.
  • RC Boys basketball – RC @ Woodland
  • RC Wrestling – Woodland vs RC (Senior night)
  • RC girls soccer – Woodland vs RC – JV 5:00 and Varsity 6:30
