RCHS Sports!
  • RCHS basketball took on McClatchy for its Winter Homecoming. The Raiders on games at all three levels. The night topped off by a 30-point win for the Raiders over the Lions.
  • RCHS Lady Raiders Soccer has clinched a league title in its first season in the Metro League. The Raiders are 9-0-1 1 in conference play and hope to make a deep run in the playoffs.
  • RCHS Varsity Wrestling took 11 varsity wrestlers to the league championship tournament Saturday, Feb. 2. All 11 qualified for Divisionals Friday/Saturday Feb.8/9. We had 9 o the 11 in the finals
    • 5 champions: Freshmen - Cody Roosevelt 108 lbs, and Xavier Davis 184 lbs.; Sophomore-Brian Tran 147 lbs; Junior-Thomas Sarminento 122lbs; Senior-Jose Medina 197 lbs; 4 - second place winners; 1 - third place winner; 1 - fourth place winner

Counseling Corner….
  • 8th grade parent & student scheduling information fair!
    • February 12th and 13th from 6:00-8:30 PM in the cafeteria. These sessions will cover scheduling for the 2019/2020 school year.
    • Course catalogs and course request sheets will be handed out & counselors will be available to answer questions.
  • Seniors!
    • Purchase your cap and gown by visiting or stop by the AP’s office to borrow a used cap and/or gown.
    • Did you turn in your senior contract? If not please turn in at the AP’s office ASAP.
Important Dates
  • Mock Trial team has competition rounds on February 7th, 13th & 20 at 6 pm and Saturday, Feb. 23 at 9 am the Sacramento County Courthouse at 8th & H Streets in downtown Sacramento.
  • No School - February 14 Professional Development day.
  • No School - February 15th- 18th for President Days
Academic Outreach (AO) Mondays, Tuesdays & Thursdays After school in the cafeteria 3:45-5:00. Homework help & tutoring. There will be snacks, late bus passes
College & Career Center
  • Grand Canyon University will be here February 15th from 10:30 - 11:30. Sign up now!
  • If you took the ASVAB test on January 31st, please come to the College & Career Center on March 1st at 10:30 to review your results
  • Raider Parent Network meets Wednesday, February 20th at 6:30 in RCHS Career Center.
  • Conference – February 22nd from 9 am -2 pm at Sacramento City College
  • State of the District discussion with Superintendent, Linda Luna on February 26 from 6:00pm at River City High School in the College & Career Center
